This project explores the typologies of a comfortable bedroom.
What is a comfortable bedroom?
This is the question that would be prompted repeatedly throughout the whole project, but a solution is towards what is the most comfortable bedroom is not necessary needed in the project. A theory of comfort has to be frame and becomes the embodiment of the project, referenced to Gaston Bachelard’s theory of Intimate Imensity. The home that we were born in usually feels most comfortable due to the factor of memories, which were built over time and allows our body and room to adapt to each other. The smell, the objects that were there since young, becomes an object of intimacy. The common movements speaks of familiar feelings and movements around the bedroom that made us comfortable, but yet we constantly crave and chase after dream homes; a utopian space of imagination that embodies dream.
